What To Expect

What To ExpectWith all new clients there are 4 stages as below…

1. Consultation stage

Here I find out about your business, goals, any data you currently have etc – I like to really get to grips with who you are, where you’ve been and where you want to go as I feel this really helps with long term success.

I then discuss such things as: budgets, general settings, keywords, adverts and general strategy

2. Set up / restructure stage

If I am setting up a new account I will perform the steps below, if it's an existing account I will do those steps that are required…

a. Set up the account structure ie campaigns, adgroups and general settings
b. Add keywords (broad, broad modified, phrase, exact and negatives dependant on the strategy)
c. Add the adverts
d. Client review and approval

3. Testing and data gathering

This stage is where I do the bids manually to get a starting point ready for the algorithm bidding system (if using an existing account with data this stage maybe skipped). I also review all areas of the account daily during this stage to ensure everything is working as it should and to make small tweaks where needed.

During this stage we’re also looking at keywords to increase negatives, new keyword ideas, tweaks to the strategy and also to get some very initial data from the whole campaign.

4. Ongoing management and optimisation

Once we have enough data from stage 3 the algorithm bidding system is deployed which starts to learn what works best and starts to make changes to the bids.

In this final ongoing stage I also look at split testing data to improve the adverts performance, perform monthly reviews and work to generally increase performance across the board.
